'Deadpool' - Movie Thoughts- Special Post

To officially close off this wonderful but at the same time not so wonderful year, I'm gonna do an honest review of the best movie of the year in my opinion, 'Deadpool'.

I'm gonna cut the summary from this one and get straight to the good stuff. As we all know, some of the most anticipated movies of 2016 have turned into the biggests flops of the year. There was one movie in particular however that did not die in 2016, and that was Deadpool. Being a huge fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the first Iron Man came out, I think it's safe to say that I do indeed have a soft-spot for the movies created by this company. Deadpool, however, proved to be that one push that the Marvel Universe needed to introduce the very first of many R-rated Marvel/Superhero movies. Skeptical about the whole R-rated thing I decided to follow the movie up to its release. The couple months leading up to Deadpool didn't really see most people taking an interest in the movie but as soon as February 2016 hit, no-one could get through a conversation without mentioning it. Finally, the movie was here. I will say this movie didn't disappoint one bit and made a name for itself by being one of the best Marvel movies ever, in my opinion. As soon as the movie started, I found myself being sucked into the movie and living it for myself. The opening scene fully caught my sttention and I was hooked from the on. The movie provided a perfect combination of comedy, action and a well developed plot. Certain scenes/ quotes such as, "You look like and avocado had sex with and older, more disgusting avocado" were so memorable that I ended up using it numerous times for the year in different circumstances. Don't ask. I also love how the plot took it's time to develop on it's own and didn't rush any information or add any irrelevant  information. Deadpool's interaction with the crowd also made for some good laughs and he would always crack a sick joke or fuck a stuffed unicorn in between(that could be ignored). All in all, even if it wasn't your cup of tea, the movie was awesome. I love sharing my thoughts with yall.

My rating is a solid 99% based off my own rubric.

Feel free to leave a comment below on your favourite movie of 2016.

Happy New Year!!!!

Demonic - Review

While not the best horror movie out there, Demonic (2015) still sent shivers down the spines of viewers with an interesting plot and an unexpected twist... ...but we're here to review a movie, so let's discuss the positive AND the negative. The film begins with a shot showing the bodies of the teens who were murdered, immediately followed by the beginning of a long explanation as to why and how they ended up in the house in the first place. Here, we meet out first and main character John, a boy troubled with visions/dreams of his mother in a house. He is being interviewed and recorded by his girlfriend, Michelle, a character that is fairly plain but likeable non the less.  John played by Dustin Milligan     The plot eventually advances to show the group packing up and heading to the "haunted house" to search for answers. In this, we are introduced to the victims and also the possible killer.  Upon reaching the house, the group scatters ...
